WARTSILA 6RT-FLEX50 – MAIN ENGINE MAINTENANCE COMPLETED

MTB has carried out inspection and maintenance of the main engine in accordance with the vessel’s schedule, focusing on key components including cylinder liners, pistons, and cylinder heads. The scope of work included dismantling, cleaning, measurement, and condition assessment of liners, as well as checking piston condition and piston ring clearances.

During inspection, some liners were found worn to the limit with signs of vertical scuffing and were replaced in due time. The cylinder lubrication system and cylinder oil pumps were also checked to ensure proper oil supply and stable operation.

All parameters were confirmed within allowable limits, meeting the requirements for safe and reliable engine operation.
